Jack Heider, PMBA 53

Jack and Megan
Meet top and clockwise, Penna, Bella, and Margo

Greetings!  My name is Jack Heider and I’m in PMBA cohort 53.

This is my final semester of the program and looking back, I’m grateful for all I’ve learned and the friends and memories I’ve made.  The capstone in DC was a notable highlight, but my favorite class thus far has been Operations with Prof. Sergio Chayet.  In addition to being wildly entertained, I recognized many threads of the course in my work and it gave me a newfound sense of perspective.

I graduated from Northwestern with a degree in chemical engineering and began my career as a production engineer in operations at Dow Chemical in Houston, TX.  A St. Louis native, I came home a few years ago and currently work as a capital project manager at P&G in the Cascade division.  I manage a team of engineers working on around a dozen projects intended to upgrade our products, expand production capacity, and improve plant safety.  My favorite project thus far has been working on the team to bring our newest product, Cascade Platinum Plus dish detergent, to market.

I live in Webster Groves with my wife, Megan – who recently graduated from WashU with a master’s in chemistry – and our three dogs, Margo, Bella, and Penny.  In my free time, I enjoy skiing, ice skating, gardening, and chess.
