Sam Guo, President

I’m Sam (Weixin) Guo, and I am honored to introduce myself as the President of the Olin Wealth and Asset Management Club. Our goal is to establish the WAM Club as one of Olin’s best places for future wealth and asset management professionals and successful finance talents to gather, collaborate, and improve together. 

I’m from Beijing, China, and I had my undergraduate in New York at New York University, majoring in economics and math, before joining Olin for my Master’s degree in quantitative finance. I previously worked at China Construction Bank New York Branch, China International Capital Corporation (CICC), and China Securities in risk management, investment analysis, and equity research, respectively. In my spare time, I love to play tennis, chess, and poker. I’m also a person with a diverse taste in food, including all sorts of Chinese cuisines, sushi, German food, Italian food, Indian food, etc. Please feel free to reach out!

As President, I aim to create a supportive and inclusive environment where all members feel valued and empowered to connect and share their interests. I am committed to providing opportunities for members to expand their knowledge, network with industry professionals, and develop their skills through engaging in finance and investment-related events and activities available within and around Olin. Together, the WAM Club is confident we can all break into Wall Street.

Binbin Lu, Vice President of Treasury

My name is Binbin Lu, originally from Foshan. I completed my undergraduate education at Rutgers University as a member of beta gamma sigma and currently working towards a Master’s degree at Washington University in St. Louis, Olin Business School. As an active participant in campus life, I’ve held the position of Vice President for both the SMP Council and WAM Club. My engagement in these communities has allowed me to establish a wide network of connections among fellow students.

Fun facts: I have a passion for music and am proficient in playing the guitar, clarinet, and saxophone. For the past six years, I’ve been a member of two different bands, greatly enriching my life through my love for music.

Lillian Zhao, Vice President of Marketing

Born and raised in Shanghai, China, I had my undergrad in the UK at the University of Warwick, majoring in Economics before joining Olin for my Master’s degree in business analytics-fintech. I previously worked at China International Capital Corporation (CICC), Private Equity, Investment Banking, RED, etc. 

Fun facts: I am a huge fan of Omakase, and I love traveling and vlogging in my spare time.

Jerry Pan, Vice President of Events and Logistics

Designed in China and I graduated from Emlyon business school in France. I am now a Master of Business Analytics candidate at Washington University in St. Louis, Olin Business School. I previously interned in Corporate Banking, ABS, Investment Banking, Private Equity, Wealth Management etc. 

Fun facts: 

I play the piano, the saxophone, and the oboe; In the orchestra for 9 years; Classical, jazz, blues are my precious. 

I’m a sports maniac – half-marathons, tennis, basketball, surfing, skiing, and I even did cliff jumping in the UK. 

Traveling is also my healing remedy. Born in Asia, studied in Europe and North America, and once shortly lived in Australia.

The WAM Club has hosted more than 7 events this year, with more than 200 accumulated event attendees. Our club members have benefited greatly from the events by networking with industry professionals and learning job-hunting insights from successful classmates. We’re looking forward to bringing more excellent events this fall!
