Yutong Guan
Greetings to all SMP Students and the Olin community! I’m delighted to share my journey with you. My name is Yutong Guan; I am pursuing an MSFWAM degree at WUSTL. Originally from China, this is my fifth year in the United States. I enjoy this fantastic journey, embracing each day while infusing this vibrant land with subtle and refined Eastern culture. My undergraduate years were spent at the University of Arizona, where I actively participated in the Purple Bamboo Orchestra, promoting and celebrating Chinese culture. These experiences have honed my cross-cultural collaboration and leadership skills within a diverse environment.
Driven by an insatiable curiosity, I indulge in various activities like playing the guzheng, dancing, mastering the Hulusi, cooking, and hiking. These hobbies enrich my life beyond the academic realm. My academic pursuits are equally diverse, spanning from accounting to economics, and now finance. Olin has been instrumental in opening doors to new possibilities, and I’m keen on exploring even more fields in the future, particularly the environmental and healthcare sectors.
