Beta Alpha Psi is an international honor society for students of accountancy, finance, and information systems, including data analytics and digital technology. Established in 1913, BAP proudly possesses a long history and over 300 chapters across the globe.
The WashU chapter of BAP is now accepting new members. If you are interested in joining BAP, please email bapwustl@gmail.com and we will send you more information and the candidate contract. In order to become a candidate, you must complete the candidate contract and return it to our VP of Recruitment: Sue Wang (suqin@wustl.edu). If you have any questions, please ask any BAPofficer listed below or advisor.

There are many great benefits from membership in BAP beyond the knowledge and experience you will gain by attending BAP professional and community service events. They include:
- Many employers look favorably upon membership in BAP.
- You may feature your BAP membership on your resume.
- You will have the right to wear a BAP honor cord at graduation.
- You may network with industry professionals who attend professional and essential skills events that we host, and you may network throughout your lifetime career with BAP alumni from WashU and over 300 other universities on the BAP Alumni Network.
- You may take advantage of the many benefits offered to BAP members by the BAP “Professional Partners,” which include all the major CPA Exam review providers, the AICPA, the Institute of Management Accountants, The Institute of Internal Auditors, certain state societies of CPAs, the major CPA firms, and many other accounting and business-oriented organizations.
- You may participate in visits to CPA firms and other employers of accounting, finance, data analytics, and digital technology majors.
- You will receive a discounted price for the Annual Awards dinner, including the opportunity to network with BAP alumni and receive one of the Chapter’s academic or service awards.
- You will have the opportunity to further enhance your networking opportunities and skills if you are a BAP officer.
- You will develop your critical leadership skills and may participate in BAP regional and national meetings if you are an officer.
- You may participate in visits to CPA firms and other employers of accounting, finance, data analytics, and digital technology majors.
- You are eligible for a free affiliate student membership in the AICPA.
Throughout the semester, you must attend 4 professional events, 1 essential skills event and participate in 4 hours of community service activities in order to become a member. You also must pay the member dues, be of good moral character, and if you are an undergraduate, maintain a 3.3 GPA.
We expect all members and candidates to conduct themselves honorably in their personal, academic, and professional lives at all times.
