Meet Sarah Lands Ramrup
- I’m a dual citizen of the US and Canada. I was born in Florida but spent my formative years in Toronto, Ontario, and then Vancouver, British Columbia. This means I missed out on many early American education facts, like Mount Rushmore and Plymouth Rock are apparently not the same places!
- My family is from Guyana, which is in South America. My heritage consists of folks who immigrated from India to Guyana and folks who are native to Guyana.
- My wife, Amanda, and I live in Benton Park West, along with our border collie mix, Nero, and ginger cat, Petey. I have always loved dogs and am now a late-bloomer cat lady.
- My favorite dive bar is Fenton Bar and Grill (lovingly referred to as FBAGS). Get the trashed wings – you will not regret it. Also, call me if you’re going.
- My favorite restaurant in St. Louis is Mai Lee – get #s 37, 53, and 89.
- I love playing board games, especially Monopoly, and have been enjoying puzzles this winter.
Hi all – I’m Sarah Lands Ramrup. I currently serve as the Senior Personalization Lead at Nestle Purina, focusing on delivering personalized pet owner-consumer experiences. Before this role, I was the Senior Manager of Product Analytics & MarTech, where I was responsible for designing and delivering best-in-class analytics solutions.
My career has spanned from product management where I consulted Fortune 50 clients on using tech for large-scale events to analytics where I designed next-generation analytics platforms and differentiated approaches to understanding consumer behavior. Along the way, I’ve had the opportunity to contribute to original research with Harvard Business School and spearhead efforts to drive more diversity in analytics and tech.
Last year, I co-founded Pool with Becky Brosch. Pool is a dating app startup that allows singles to get from their friends in finding quality matches. This venture has been cultivated through several entrepreneurship classes at Olin (The Hatchery, followed by The League), as well as through competitions hosted by the Skandalaris Center and Reaching out MBA. In January of this year, I started WBENC’s accelerator for women founders and have also joined StartOut’s Founder network. It’s been amazing to see how far this venture has come in just 12 months and to set our sights even higher for this year. We are currently working on a few high-priority features we heard about in alpha testing and will be ready for more testing in March.
