Kick off your weekend at the Missouri History Museum in Forest Park! Thursday Nights at the Museum is a weekly series that is sometimes the most fun, sometimes the most thought-provoking, and always the most interesting night of your week. The museum exhibits are open late, and you’ll enjoy cash bar and food for purchase, pop-up activities, concerts, lectures, and more.
Laumeier After Dark 2024 – $15

This event provides a unique and rare opportunity to experience Laumeier at night! Laumeier After Dark features captivating light-based art installations, creative illuminations of the Park’s sculpture collection and trails, cozy fire pits, a full line up of live music, a Night Market packed with one-of-a-kind goods from local makers, and some of St. Louis’ best food and beverage vendors. Le Meridien St. Louis Clayton – Thursday October 17th & 24th
On Thursdays throughout October, Le Méridien St. Louis Clayton will screen classic Halloween movies on its rooftop. Guests are encouraged to bring their own blankets for a comfortable viewing experience, and there will be themed cocktails and food concessions for purchase. Expect a popcorn bar, caramel apples, candy and other treats!
“This fall, we wanted to find a unique and exciting way to utilize our rooftop terrace,” marketing director Danielle Minninger said in a recent press release. “We selected some of our favorite Halloween films to screen, and we hope guests enjoy this new series as an elevated movie night with friends, family and significant others, cozying up with a blanket while taking in the gorgeous views.”

Oct. 3: Beetlejuice (themed cocktail made with vodka, orange juice and pineapple juice)
Oct. 10: Ghostbusters (themed cocktail made with gin, lemonade and marshmallow fluff)
Oct. 17: The Addams Family (themed cocktail made with whiskey, Amaro and cherry syrup)
Oct. 24: Hocus Pocus (themed cocktail made with tequila and apple cider)
Brookdale Farms Fall Festival – $10

Nestled among the rolling hills of Eureka, Brookdale Farms has everything you need to satisfy your fall cravings. During its fall festival, pick the perfect pumpkins for classic jack-o’-lanterns, navigate the largest corn maze in St. Louis and take a hayride or board the cow train. In between bites of kettle corn, you can also pet furry farm animals, embark on low-ropes courses, play life-size board games and test your skills on a mechanical bull. Yee-haw! Delish on Delmar – FREE
Delmar Maker District – October 18th @ 5-10PM
Celebrating the Delmar Maker District, Delish on Delmar is the perfect blend of block party, food festival and makers market.
Helmed by Maxine Clark, founder of Delmar DivINe and Build-A-Bear Workshop and board member of Delmar Main Street, the festival welcomes both residents and visitors to the burgeoning entertainment district.
District restaurants, including Alpha Brewing Company Distillery, Fountain on Delmar and Steve’s Hot Dogs, will participate with food and drink offers at street tents, while restaurants such as Esca and Florentin will be open for dine-in service. Enjoy bites and sips as live bands play on a stage on Delmar Boulevard.
Embodying the overall focus of the district, Delish on Delmar will also feature a makers market brimming with local vendors, both from the district and the community at large. The event also coincides with the Third Friday anniversary event for Third Degree Glass, the district’s original anchor.
Wicked Wings and Wine – $30
Sophia M. Sachs Butterfly House – October 18th @ 5:30-7:30PM
This night is for adults ages 21 and up. Join us for this happy hour and celebrate the spirit of Halloween at the Butterfly House. As twilight approaches, sample local brews, wines, and spirits while you learn about our owl butterflies, which are mostly active at dusk. Plus, encounter other spook-tackular animals from the World Bird Sanctuary. Grab a bite, then take a stroll through our torch-lit Native Butterfly Garden as you enjoy live music. The Bug Chef will be cooking up some tasty snacks too, if you dare.
St. Louis Beer Fest – $50

More than 40 local and national breweries will come together for the St. Louis Beer Fest. There will be 120 beers available, and admission includes unlimited samplings as well as access to all the exhibits at the Saint Louis Science Center.
Pumpkin Glow in Historic St. Charles – FREE

Visit Historic Main Street St. Charles on the weekend before Halloween for a spook-tacular event with deals, squeals, and pumpkins! You can take advantage of stores open late to get some scary good deals. The street will be illuminated with hundreds of eerily glowing pumpkins. And of course, be sure to visit with the Legends & Lanterns® characters for chilling ghost stories and haunting encounters.
Spirits in the Garden – $35
Missouri Botanical Garden – October 25th @ 6-8:30PM
Raise your spirits with samples from regional breweries, wineries and distilleries at this sinister soirée hosted by the Missouri Botanical Garden.
Between sips, you can meet local paranormal investigators, talk to fortune tellers, learn about the spirited history of the garden and strut your stuff in the costume contest.
Throughout the evening, fire performers and stilt-walking monsters will dazzle guests while Rockstar DJs spin screaming good tunes to incite dancing.
St. Louis Independent Comics Expo – FREE
The Sheldon – October 26th @ 10AM-5PM
The St. Louis Independent Comics Expo (SLICE) is St. Louis’s premier annual indie-print showcase, bringing together over 100 writers, artists, poets, and printmakers from St. Louis and beyond to showcase their self-published books, comics, zines, magazines, poetry, and more. SLICE 2024 takes place on October 26, 10 a.m.–5 p.m., at the Sheldon Concert Hall and Art Galleries. The expo is free and open to the public.
Programming for the day includes a caricature workshop, portrait drawing, and bookkeeping and accounting tips for working creatives from the Volunteer Lawyers and Accountants for the Arts (VLAA). Spotlight lectures on SLICE 2024 Special Guests Mattie Lubchanksy (Boy’s Weekend, The Nib, The Antifa Super-Soldier Cookbook) and Jamila Rowser (Wash Day Diaries, Black Josei Press) will also be a part of the day’s events, as well as a conversation between comics writer Nadia Shammas (Squire, Ms. Marvel, Dead by Daylight) and local artist Shreyas R Krishnan, and a panel on sci-fi narratives with comics artist L. Pidge (Infinite Wheatpaste) and accompanying artists.

Central West End Halloween Street Party – FREE

Year after year, St. Louis’ Central West End neighborhood hosts the region’s most legendary Halloween party. For the day’s event schedule please click the link above.
Family-friendly daytime activities, including a children’s parade with costumed characters, a dog parade, pumpkin-decorating and trick-or-treating will kick off the festivities. Then, as the sun sets, the street party continues with an adults-only monster bash.
Known for its elaborate, outrageous costumes and cash prizes, the adult costume contest will take place alongside live music performances.
Throughout the evening, enjoy food and drinks from area businesses such as AC Hotel St. Louis Central West End, Brennan’s, Drunken Fish, Edera, Kingside Diner, Maryland House and Up-Down Arcade Bar.
