The Office of Health Information and Data Science (OHIDS) encompasses the Institute for Informatics (I2), Division of Biostatistics, Bernard Becker Medical Library and Office of the Chief Research Information Officer.
The Office of Health Information and Data Science (OHIDS) at Washington University in St. Louis focuses the data, informatics, and knowledge landscape within the School of Medicine and across the broader university in order to transform research, education, and patient care – emphasizing precision medicine and efforts to improve the quality of healthcare and the impact of public health initiatives locally, nationally, and worldwide.
OHIDS serves as the academic and professional home for data science, informatics, and knowledge management research, education and service throughout Washington University in St. Louis, enabling advances in biomedical research and improvements in health and healthcare. OHIDS coordinates relevant efforts across the Medical and Danforth campuses, while also developing and sustaining partnerships with BJC HealthCare as well as a diverse group of regional, national, and international collaborators.
