Erin Hahn, PhD, MPH

Dr. Hahn is a health services researcher. She received her degrees in health services and health policy from the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health. Dr. Hahn is currently the Academy Health Delivery System Science fellow at Kaiser Permanente Southern California, working with the Care Improvement Research Team based in the Department of Research and Evaluation. Her primary research interest is quality of care in oncology, focusing on clinical guideline implementation and testing models of care. Her work combines qualitative and quantitative methods to explore variations in care, views and opinions of clinicians, and association of patient-, clinician-, and system-level factors with health care utilization and outcomes. She received the Jan R. Cloyde Young Investigator Award in 2011 for her work on adherence to evidence-based guidelines for breast cancer post-treatment care, and she is currently working on several projects including examining response to the American Society of Clinical Oncology “Choosing Wisely” Top Five list, improving timeliness of care for lung cancer patients, and a randomized trial of a radiation oncology-based survivorship care intervention.
