Pilar CV 2020

Meagan Pilar is originally from Maryland, and she received her B.A. from McDaniel College in 2012. After graduation, she moved to Lexington, KY, where she spent the next two years teaching.

Meagan enrolled in the University of Kentucky’s MPH program with a concentration in health behavior and graduated in 2016. She spent the following year working as an Adjunct Faculty member, as well as a Research Project Coordinator for two faculty members in the UK College of Public Health. The projects that she managed focused on the dissemination and implementation (D&I) of programs targeting cancer prevention and disruptive behavior problems in preschool-aged children.

Her research interests include implementation science, particularly focused on mental health interventions. Meagan is currently working with the Dissemination and Implementation Research Core, as well as the Prevention Research Center.

Little known facts: In her spare time, Meagan enjoys dancing, practicing all forms of aerial arts, and playing with her kittens.
