Past Teaching

I was the Director of Graduate Studies at Minnesota for three years. It was a rewarding, but also difficult job. Here is the link to the Minnesota Graduate Economics Program.

Informal Workshop at Minnesota

(M. Boldrin and Ph.D. Students)

The purpose of  this workshop was for my Ph.D. students and I to meet, argue, learn from each other, and try to make progress with our research.

The Book Reading Club

Tim Kehoe, Ed Prescott, and I  started this group in 2001 and ran it for two years. The purpose was reading and discussing books which are not “usual economics classroom” material and, also, books that the average economist is not supposed to care much about. We looked for stimulating ideas or facts, points of view other than ours and analytical approaches we had not figured out or considered yet. That means reading a lot from other disciplines, especially in the social sciences, but not only.
