Bio

Michael’s interests stem from his time living and working in a variety of locations from France to Palestine to East and West Africa to Haiti.  Over the last four years Michael worked on a several different social work and public health programs in low income areas of New Orleans, LA focused primarily on HIV, Hepatitis C and other infectious diseases.  Based on his global health background – in conjunction with his work in underserved communities in the United States – Michael’s research interests involve utilizing a transdisciplinary approach to problem solving that looks at multiple factors and their roles in inequalities of disease burden, healthcare access, and treatment.
