If a rock has a coarsely textured surface, then it is not a meteorite

All of the photos below were sent to me by persons who thought that the rock might be a meteorite. All have interesting or unusual surface textures. Such surface textures are a sure sign that the rock is not a meteorite, except perhaps in the rare case where the meteorite is oriented with flow lines.
