Detection assays that are quick and easy to use, affordable, and accurate are vital tools that are used in a wide variety of fields, ranging from law enforcement to clinical medicine. Our lab is focused on the development of immunoassays using ELISA techniques that will allow for the accurate detection of nutritional immunity proteins native to microorganisms found in the skin microbiome. These assays will assist in the diagnosis of skin infections as well as investigating patterns of microbial migration within the body.
