In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, MARC uSTAR/CDI Star students undertook a project for the 2020-2021 academic year to create “ASAP Science” videos designed to communicate complex science concepts in an accessible, easy-to-understand way. The videos also addressed the intersection of race and science in conjunction with the students’ own personal journeys.

They then were given the opportunity to pitch their projects to the students of The Sophia Project, a local girls club for underserved middle-and high-school students.
