Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts, 2023 Spring Community Engagement Internship Office for Socially Engaged Practice (OSEP)

Internship Overview
The Office for Socially Engaged Practice is involved in a number of programs and partnerships in collaboration with faculty and students across the Sam Fox School who are working with and for communities. 
The goal of the Community Engagement Internship is to offer an opportunity for a student to participate  and contribute towards projects and initiatives that are mutually beneficial to the University and community partners. Students will work closely with the OSEP team.

Position type: Semester Internship
Approximately 10 to 12 hrs/week for the Spring 2023 semester. The candidate will be provided with a desk in the Office for Socially Engaged Practice suite and encouraged to be in the office while working. The candiate will occasionally meet in the field with OSEP staff for community meetings.

Steinberg Hall 210 | Sam Fox School

Eligibility
Full-time Undergraduate and Graduate students at the Sam Fox School. Preference given to students who will be enrolled at WashU for the Fall 2023 semester.

Salary
$14 per hour
Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Associate Director and Curriculum and Outreach Coordinator, to assist with all facets of the Office for Socially Engaged Practice. Main projects to include:

Hands-on assistance with current OSEP projects
- Community Design Sprints Course
- Sumner StudioLab Setup
- Others (as needed) 

Student Engagement & Programming
- Lead efforts to create programming events with and for Sam Fox students
- Organize OSEP events

Communications
- Support on-going storytelling through social media content as well as print media.
