About this Initiative
The Sam Fox School of Design and Visual Arts (SFS) is implementing programs and resources for approaching work for and with communities, especially in the St. Louis region, in order to offer excellent teaching, innovative research, and effective work that is mutually beneficial to the University and community partners.

Position type: Internship
Approximately 20 hrs/week
The candidate will be provided with a desk in the Office for Socially Engaged Practice suite and encouraged to be in the office while working. The candidate will occasionally meet in the field with OSEP staff for community meetings.

$14/hour

Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Associate Director and Curriculum and Outreach Coordinator, to lead and implement the following projects.

Socially Engaged Eco-system Mapping Project
- Conduct research and produce a database that maps the ecosystem of Sam Fox and OSEP’s historic partnerships.

Building a student Community of Practice
- Perform research on peer institutions and case studies to inform strategies and methods to build a student cohort around Socially Engaged Practices.

Assist in responsibilities related to projects managed by the OSEP
- Sumner StudioLab Setup (Develop space programming concepts, schematic drawings, and fit-out for a community hub)
- Peace Park Partnership and 	 
   Implementation
- Others (as needed)
