Xale Reew Mi, a Wolof phrase meaning “children of the country,” is the
belief that youth are the future. My Gold Award Girl Scout project aims to
support this idea by helping youth in foster care discover their inner
creativity and encourage mindfulness through art. You can support this
project by donating art supplies to create kits for the teens at the Foster
and Adoptive Coalition.
The project will also include a virtual exhibition featuring art from youth in
transition in Saint Louis, USA and Saint Louis, Senegal.
