At m3 laboratory, we focus on mathematical modeling and simulation of physical phenomenon and processes, and perform measurements to advance radiation medicine for diseases.

Yesterday –

Over the last decade we have made significant headway in following areas:

  • Introducing novel concepts in intensity modulated therapy,
  • Inverse optimization for radioactive seed implantation in prostate cancer,
  • Advancement in quality assurance approach for new radiation technology,
  • Spectrometric and dosimetric measurements with radiochromic films
  • Development of low-cost 3D printed phantoms

Today –

We continue to advance these and break new grounds in other areas:

  • Multileaf collimator sequencing algorithm
  • Optimized Volumetric modulated arc treatments
  • End-to-end radiation transport simulations
  • Modeling radiation interaction with the DNA
  • Addressing spectral and dosimetric challenges in proton therapy
