At m3 laboratory, we focus on mathematical modeling and simulation of physical phenomenon and processes, and perform measurements to advance radiation medicine for diseases.
Yesterday –
Over the last decade we have made significant headway in following areas:
- Introducing novel concepts in intensity modulated therapy,
- Inverse optimization for radioactive seed implantation in prostate cancer,
- Advancement in quality assurance approach for new radiation technology,
- Spectrometric and dosimetric measurements with radiochromic films
- Development of low-cost 3D printed phantoms
Today –
We continue to advance these and break new grounds in other areas:
- Multileaf collimator sequencing algorithm
- Optimized Volumetric modulated arc treatments
- End-to-end radiation transport simulations
- Modeling radiation interaction with the DNA
- Addressing spectral and dosimetric challenges in proton therapy
