Welcome to the Lifespan Lab!
Our lab investigates emotion regulation and affective experience across the adult lifespan. We are especially interested in how individuals of different ages manage their emotions and how different strategies can promote emotional well-being in older adulthood.

Our Research
Our lab’s research is focused broadly on how emotional and affective processes differ across the adult lifespan, and how these processes and strategies can help to promote greater well-being for older adults.
This manifests in a variety of projects, most commonly investigating the links between:
- Aging and Attention to Emotional Content
- Aging and Emotion Regulation Processes
- Aging and Emotion Perception

- Eye Tracking, to record where participants direct their attention with regards to emotional content.
- Psychophysiological Measures, to investigate the physiological responses of participants in response to emotional content or in their daily lives.
- Upcoming studies will also integrate Virtual Reality.
