Nicole Ford is a Dallas, TX native and is currently a PhD student in the School of Public Health in the Department of Health Promotion and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Louisville. She is a graduate research assistant at the Youth Violence Prevention Research Center (YVPRC) and the Center for Social Justice Youth Development Research (CSJYDR). Her research interests are mental health, Black youth, health equity, and social justice.  She received her bachelor’s and master’s degree from Texas A&M University in Health and Health Education. She also has a certificate in Prevention Science and is certified in Youth Mental Health First Aid.
