Directions to the Kunkel Lab

If you are taking MetroLink:

Get off the train at the Skinker Station (indicated by the blue M on this Danforth Campus map).

Exit the MetroLink station by taking the stairs or elevator up to the street level. If you find yourself on the north side of Forest Park Parkway (in front of Kayak’s Coffee shop) cross the street, so that you end up on the South-West corner of the intersection of Forest Park and Skinker in front of Green Hall (building No. 137 on the Danforth Campus map). Walk onto campus through the archway at Green Hall and follow the walk way across the engineering quadrangle, heading west towards the stairs leading up to Brookings Hall (No. 112). Walk up the stairs and through the arch under Brookings Hall. Take the path that veers left across the quad and walk along the path that takes you  between Bush Hall (No. 116) and January Hall (No. 141). Stay on this path, passing Wilson Hall (No. 183) on your left. Continue to walk past Wilson then go down the steps on the left to Bayer lab (No. 107, see photo on top right).  The main entrance to Bayer is just to the right of base of the stairs. Alternatively, instead of going down the steps to Bayer, you can continue a bit farther, and enter the Biology Department via Rebstock Hall (No. 161, see photo, bottom right).  Take the stairs or elevator to the third floor, and then follow the hallway to the East (turn right if you came up the stairs, left if you came up the elevator) until you find the glassed-in walkway connecting Rebstock Hall to Bayer Lab. Cross into Bayer, turn left and head straight down the hall to rooms 308 (the Kunkel Lab) or Rm 319 (Dr. Kunkel’s office).

If you are driving:

FFrom the intersection of Skinker Blvd & Clayton Ave: Drive north on Skinker until you reach Forsyth Blvd. Turn left (west) on Forsyth. Turn right onto Hadley Way, soon after you pass the Biology Department Greenhouses (No. 135) on your right.  Follow the signs to the underground parking garage, located under the Danforth University Center (the DUC, Building No. 125, marked by a large blue “P” on the map).  After parking, make your way to the North stairwell to exit the parking garage.  As you leave the DUC, turn right and walk to the East. Pass Graham Chapel (No. 136) on your left and walk towards Rebstock Hall (No. 161).  Enter Rebstock, take the stairs or elevator to the third floor.  Follow the hallway to the East (turn right if you came up the stairs, left if you came up the elevator) until you find the glassed-in walkway connecting Rebstock Hall to Bayer Lab (No.107).   Cross into Bayer, turn left and head straight down the hall to Rooms 308 (the Kunkel Lab) or Rm 319 (Dr. Kunkel’s office)..
