Ruikang started as a Ph.D. student in 2020. His previous research experiences were related to urban climate and tropical cyclones when he was an undergraduate student at Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology. He is now working on the impact of aerosol-cloud interaction on climate using numerical simulation and field observation. His special focus is on new particle formation in marine boundary layer. His current research involves using WRF-Chem model coupled with Large-eddy simulation to investigate the mechanism for new particle formation.
