April is a graduate student in the lab. She grew up in Gurnee, Illinois and graduated from Beloit College in 2024 with a B.S. in Biochemistry and a minor in Health and Society. While at Beloit, she conducted research under Dr. Taylor Arhar, worked as a peer mentor for a TRIO program, and tutored in the chemistry department and the writing center. She also spent a lot of her time participating in the Ronald E. McNair Post-Baccalaureate Achievement Program. Outside of school, April enjoys cooking, trying out different coffee shops, and going on walks.
