Kaushik Dutta
PI: Dr. KooreshShoghi(Quantitative Molecular Systems Imaging & Therapy Lab)
3rd Year Ph.D. in Imaging Science
Our group conducts research to implement multi-modal molecular imaging technologies, bioinformatics analyses, and quantitative imaging pipelines to interrogate disease biology and therapeutic efficacy using deep learning.
Tingting Wu
PI: Dr. Matthew D. Lew ;
4th Year Ph.D. in Imaging Science
We develop advanced nanoscopes (microscopes with nanometer resolution) that can visualize the activity of individual molecular machines inside and outside living cells. Examples of our technology include 1) using tiny fluorescent molecules as sensors that can detect amyloid proteins, 2) designing new “lenses” to create imaging systems that can visualize how molecules move and tumble, and 3) new imaging software that minimizes artifacts in super-resolution images.
Aahana Bajracharya
PI: Dr. Jonathan E. Peelle (Otolaryngology) and Dr. Joseph P. Culver (Radiology)
4th Year Ph.D. in Imaging Science
My research focuses on developing computational approaches to mapping the neural bases of spoken language processing using neuroimaging methods such as high-density diffuse optical tomography (HD-DOT) and functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI).
Peng Lu
PI: Dr. Daniel LJ Thorek
4th Year Ph.D. in Imaging Science
Our work is focused on revealing underlying mechanisms of disease biology with multiple imaging techniques (such as nuclear imaging, imaging mass cytometry, fluorescence and brightfield microscopy) and translating these insights into clinical practice by improving diagnosis and integrating novel therapeutic approaches.
