The Zeiss Axio Imager M2 interacts with ZEN for image capture and processing. ZEN has a wealth of general functions for image optimization and documentation with the following additional modules:
·Multichannel Acquisition software controls the motorized reflector turret allowing for rapid automatic acquisition of multiple channels with optimal exposure times for each channel.
·Interactive Measurement for accurate measurement of distances, areas, and pixel intensity.
·Z-Stack module controls the Z-drive of the motorized stage for Z-stack generation.
·3D Deconvolution for computational reduction of out-of-focus fluorescence in three-dimensional microscope images resulting in images with less noise, better definition, and higher resolution.
Objectives: 10X, 20X, 40X oil (phase and DIC), 63X oil (phase and DIC), and 100X oil (phase and DIC).
Filter sets: DAPI, GFP, DsRed, and Cy5.

FINAL IMAGES All images will be archived in czi format which can be viewed with ZEN software.
You may also view these on any PC using ZEN lite which can be downloaded free from the Zeiss website.
All users must go thru a training/orientation session prior to using any of the instrumentation.
