and SMART Africa’s

5th Annual Conference
June 23rd-24th 2020

Purpose

The goal of this annual conference is to bring together a diverse group of stakeholders interested in addressing issues affecting global child and adolescent health, including HIV/AIDS, poverty, health disparities, and behavioral health. The conference will provide opportunities for bi-directional learning via plenary sessions, small panels, workshops, poster sessions, networking sessions and community site visits.

Mission

ICHAD and SMART Africa founded this conference series to achieve the following aims.

  1.  Bring together researchers and other stakeholders to discuss ongoing projects related to evidence-based psychosocial support interventions, sustaining high-quality mental health care, and economic strengthening interventions in low resource settings.
  2. Foster exchange between researchers interested in child behavioral health and economic strengthening ventures at different career stages.
  3. Accelerate scientific progress in this area through written scholarly products.
