Haotian (Hao-T’ien) Zheng was born and raised in China. He graduated with his LL.B. in sociology/social work from Central China Normal University in 2017 and his MSW from the University of Michigan in 2019. During and after graduate studies, he worked as a research assistant studying Children’s Savings Account (CSA) with the Center on Assets, Education, and Inclusion (AEDI) at the University of Michigan School of Social Work. His research interest focuses on the effect of asset building across the lifespan, particularly the potential role of assets in promoting retirement financial security of older adults and access to postsecondary education for children and youth.
