Postvention in Schools:
Crisis response teams are responsible for enacting postvention efforts in schools. This may include

- Working with students in small groups
- disclosing only the relevant facts
- allowing students to express their feelings
- providing referrals to continued school and community resources
- Providing survivor support services and additional resources to students at risk
- Following the students in the classes of the student involved in the crisis
- Supporting teachers and staff impacted by the loss
- Working with students in small groups
