Marie Brault, PhD

Marie A. Brault is an assistant professor in the Department of Population Health and Institute for Excellence in Health Equity, Section for Global Health at the NYU Grossman School of Medicine. Her training is in medical anthropology, with post-doctoral training in public health and HIV prevention and treatment. Her work focuses on the implementation, evaluation, and dissemination of more integrated sexual, reproductive, and mental health programming for adolescents and young adults. Methodologically, her work is grounded in qualitative and mixed methods approaches, multidisciplinary team collaboration, and community-engaged, participatory research that centers the needs and assets of communities. She is currently working on projects focused on adolescent and young adult sexual, reproductive, and mental promotion in India, the U.S., and with the AFRICOS cohort (Kenya, Nigeria, Tanzania, and Uganda).
