Dr. Kihumuro is a research doctor at the Joint Clinical Research Centre (JCRC – ACTG) and a Research Associate at The AIDS Support Organization (TASO). He is passionate about research, innovation, and improving global health outcomes, particularly in low-resource settings, through health technologies. His broad research interests include HIV, mental health, adolescent health, digital health, and implementation science.
Dr. Kihumuro previously led the “All for Mental Health – Adolescent Schools Project,” which aimed to create a mental health-safe environment in secondary schools in Uganda through research and implementation models. This project has been implemented in four schools with the support of key stakeholders such as the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education.
As a medical student, doctor, and emerging researcher, Dr. Raymond has worked on multiple projects in HIV, technology in healthcare, global health, and mental health. He has co-authored more than 20 publications. His career goal is to leverage his leadership, research, innovation, and entrepreneurial skills to address healthcare challenges and foster sustainable healthcare solutions.
