Jana Jarolimova, MD, MPH

Dr. Jarolimova is a junior faculty member in the Division of Infectious Diseases at Massachusetts General Hospital and an affiliated clinical research fellow at the Africa Health Research Institute in South Africa. She received her MD and MPH degrees from Harvard Medical School and the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Dr. Jarolimova’s current research is primarily focused on improving the cascade of care for curable sexually transmitted infections (STIs) among populations with high STI and HIV incidence, as well as integrating STI services with HIV care and prevention, and novel methods and venues for STI care delivery. She has active studies in both the U.S. and South Africa and is currently supported by a K23 award from NIAID to develop and implement a community-based STI screening program for adolescents and young adults in rural South Africa. Dr. Jarolimova is grateful and excited for the opportunity to further develop her skills in implementation science as a HIGH IRI Fellow.
