Hetani Mdose is the Senior Epidemiologist with the South African Field Epidemiology Training Program within the National Institute for Communicable Diseases (NICD). She has nine years of experience working at the NICD and two years as a resident. Hetani has a passion for training and mentoring the next generation of public health professionals be they at Frontline, Intermediate or Advanced tiers of the FETP. Ms. Hetani is passionate about advancing Global Health Security, Workforce Development and health system resilient in Africa. She is committed to advancing public health both locally and regionally. Hetani collaborates with the University of Pretoria as an Extra Ordinary Lecturer, the University of the Witwatersrand and the University of Johannesburg.
