  2. Personal motivation on wanting to be an Afri-HIGH-IRI fellow and advancement of career
    development (short- and long-term goals) in implementation science (maximum 1 page)
  3. Recent biosketch/CV (maximum 5 pages). Please include: All qualifications, Employment
    History, Duration and description of the responsibilities of your current work contract, A

  4. An Individual Development Plan (IDP) (maximum 2 pages). The IDP is a tool designed
    to help you to implement a career plan. Please upload a pdf file named: Surname_Firstname_2024_IDP.
    • The IDP document should include the following sections:
      • Background: Provide a brief overview of your relevant past professional and/or research experience and coursework in implementation science.
      • Career Goals: Clearly state your short-term and long-term career goals related to
        implementation science.
      • How this program would advance professional development and research: Explain how participating in this fellowship program will contribute to your professional growth and enhance your research skills in implementation science.
      • Proposed outcomes and corresponding timelines: Outline specific professional
        objectives you aim to achieve during the fellowship and include realistic timelines for accomplishing these professional development goals.
  5. Description of your proposed research interest or program implementation challenge that
    you intend to pursue related to HIV/AIDS, infectious diseases or global health (maximum 3
    pages in pdf format only).
    Your proposed research document should include the following sections: Project title,
    Rationale, Proposed aims, Potential impact of the proposed project on the health system,
    Plans for translation and dissemination, and Bibliography. The file should be labelled as:

  6. Mentoring Plan (maximum ¼ page): Please briefly describe your mentor/s from your home
    institution, their role on your mentoring team, and plans for mentoring interactions during
    your fellowship
    *** A mentor is a senior academic or professional that provides career support (such as career guidance, skills development) and psychosocial support (such as psychological and emotional support) aimed at developing the mentee. It complements other developmental processes like teaching or coaching to support mentees in developing knowledge and skills, and is essential to holistic development of scientists.
  7. Letter of Recommendation from your Line Manager for the Afri-HIGH IRI training program
    (one page). You can address the recommendation letters to the “Afri-HIGH IRI Review Committee.”

  8. Letter of Recommendation 2: We advise that this letter come from a mentor or supervisor
