We fight for global health equity

We are a student-run non-profit organization of undergraduates attending Washington University in St. Louis. While we span different academic disciplines and interests, we are united in our passion for global health equity. We meet each week, run campaigns and advocacy events, learn from each other, and form a supportive and energized community.

Our mission statement

We are GlobeMed at WashU, a student-run nonprofit composed of 60 undergraduates, seeking to empower students and communities in the movement for global health equity. At our core, we believe that global health equity has to be led, driven, and envisioned by local voices. We conduct our practice in three ways: developing future global health leaders through education and skill-building, increasing awareness in our community of social justice issues through advocacy, and most importantly, partnering with Uganda Development and Health Associates (UDHA), a grassroots non-profit in eastern Uganda. While our academic interests span every discipline, we are united by our passion for health justice around the world.

GlobeMed at WashU fosters the global health leaders of tomorrow by emphasizing soft skills and professional development. Collaborative projects are the heart of our club, which are orchestrated through various leadership opportunities, mentorship, and hands-on experience from day one.
