All orders for hardware and software must originate in WUIT’s ServiceNow portal.   View the full catalog of products and services offered through Shared IT Services on the ServiceNow portal here. Submit requests for non-standard items via the Custom Client Hardware and Software form in the ServiceNow catalog for recommendations and to talk to a technology expert about your needs. If WUIT can procure the requested item, it must be purchased through WUIT, no exceptions.

  • Computers, Hardware, and Accessories:
    • All orders must be purchased from the WUIT ServiceNow portal unless WUIT has provided documentation that they can provide support for the item and written permission has been given by WUIT to purchase the item elsewhere.
  • Software Orders:
    • All faculty and staff have access to free and discounted software through WUIT. Visit the Service Now Software Catalog for a comprehensive list.
    • All software orders, including subscriptions and SaaS models (e.g., Grammarly, Calendly, Trello, Freshworks, etc.) must originate in the ServiceNow portal.
    • If the software cannot be managed by WUIT but is deemed “safe” and compatible with WU managed equipment, advance WUIT or Olin IT approval must be submitted with the reimbursement request.
  • Reimbursement and Procard Purchases:
    • Requests for reimbursement will be denied if advance approval for purchases outside of ServiceNow are not secured.
    • Procard purchases without advance approval will need to be reimbursed to the school.
