Device-free localization has many applications, including security, building safety, and
breathing analysis. It has the benefits of low cost wireless communication devices and not
requiring the use of tags. We had two goals for our work this semester: 1) to improve data
collection and organization on the software side, in particular, the assigning of timestamps to
and organization of collected RSS values, and 2) to design a new device-free localization
algorithm which uses this new data format.
