The lab sends big congrats to Rebecca for her recently published paper in Journal of Neuroscience. Here, Rebecca developed a protocol to capture translating ribosomes selectively from the neuronal components of synapses, enabling identification of RNA localized there to achieve synaptic functions. Here, forebrain and hippocampal neurons were profiled globally, but this could also be done at the level of specific subtypes of neuron to look at their unique synaptoneurosomal activities.
