Darejan Dvalishvili
, MSW, MD is a researcher focusing on understanding the relationships between poverty, child maltreatment and other childhood adversities.

Research Interests: Child Maltreatment; Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), Child and Family Wellbeing; Child Protection and Social Services; Child Protection and Economic Interventions; Gender and Gender based Violence

Brief Bio: Darejan is from the Republic of Georgia. She graduated from Tbilisi State Medical University in 2002 and received her MSW from Columbia University (New York, US) in 2010. Darejan has previously worked with UNICEF and other international and local non-profit organizations mainly focusing on child protection and child welfare issues. As the principal investigator, she run several research projects both in Georgia and abroad. 

Little known facts: Darejan enjoys classical music, visual art, theater, running and skiing
