Every year, the Department of Computer Science & Engineering recruits undergraduates for its 10-week summer research program. Our Summer Program is an excellent way to get involved in cutting-edge research, to find out what it’s like to be a graduate student, and get paid for it.
Participating in an undergraduate research project is a great way to learn a lot about a specific area and to try your hand at a cutting-edge research topic. If you are thinking about graduate school, this is also an excellent opportunity to find out what research is about and to get experience before applying. Research projects also demonstrate to potential employers that you are capable of moving beyond coursework to solve an open-ended problem. Plus, it’s fun!
We welcome both domestic students and
international students studying in US institutions.
If you have any questions about our program, please feel free to email: reu@cse.wustl.edu.
“If you have any inclination towards research in computer science, you must take part in an REU. It was one of the best experiences for me, and it was a learning experience at the same time!” – Past REU Participant
