Comments and Observations on the 2017 Draft Articles for a new global convention on crimes against humanity

The United Nations International Law Commission has been receiving comments from governments and other interested actors on the 2017 Draft Articles for a new global convention on crimes against humanity. On November 30, 2018, the Crimes Against Humanity Initiative submitted its Comments and Observations to the 2017 ILC Draft Articles. The Commission will complete a second reading of the Draft Articles in 2019, after which a new treaty may be adopted by the U.N. General Assembly or a diplomatic conference in 2019 or 2020. read more
