The Center for Community Health Partnership & Research has awarded ten scholarships to individuals employed by local nonprofit and governmental organizations. The funding will enable staff to attend week-long professional development courses offered through the Brown School Summer Institute at Washington University in St. Louis.
The scholarship supports intensive virtual learning for three-hours per day for five consecutive days. Attendees can build new skills in areas like grant writing, statistical analysis and leadership.
The center received nearly 50 applications. Individuals from the following organizations received scholarships:
St. Louis Integrated Health Network, Putnam County Health Department, New Madrid County Health Department, Rare and Black, Village of Moms STL, Behavioral Health Network, St. Louis City Department of Health, American Parkinson Disease Association, Carter County Health Department, and St. Charles County Department of Health.
The annual application period for the Summer Institute scholarship occurs in late winter. In addition to individual scholarship support, the center offers technical assistance packages to organizations through the Capacity Building Fund.
