The Chancellor’s Recognition Ceremony for December Degree Candidates

Invitations will be emailed to all summer graduates and fall degree candidates. Family and guests are welcome. Please review the Planning Guide for Fall Graduates.
All graduates, guests, staff, and vendors will be required to complete the Washington University in St. Louis self-screening process before visiting campus. Visitors – https://visitorscreening.wustl.edu/ students, faculty, staff – http://screening.wustl.edu/.

Online streaming and closed captioning
The December Recognition Ceremony will also be streamed online and accessible via the Commencement homepage and will include live captions.
Accessibility
For guests needing wheelchairs, a limited number are available by reservation before November 29, 2021.
Parking
Parking is available in the Snow Way parking garage and the Danforth University Center (DUC) underground parking garage. A drop off zone will be available on the surface lot east of the Athletic Complex. This lot will also be reserved for those needing accessible parking. See Google Map.

Commencement gifts
Place your order today for a graduation bouquet. Flowers will be available for pickup on the morning of the ceremony. We encourage family and friends to take advantage of their online pre-order service. Commencement Flowers will have a contact-free customer experience for the guests who are picking up their pre-purchased and reserved product. Limited product will be available without pre-orders.

Photography and video
Please note that individual pictures of each student will be taken as they cross the stage and again after they exit the stage. Images will be available for purchase from Grad Images. Graduates may pre-register for photos and save 20% off their order.
