Office of Research Integrity & Ethics (ORIE)
Provides programmatic resources for: Individual and Institutional Conflicts of Interest, Human Stem Cell Research, Research Integrity and Authorship Standards , Human Research Quality Assurance and Improvement, Institutional Animal Care and Use.
Office of Sponsored Research Services (OSRS)
Proposals must be submitted through the OSRS for review and signature by an institutional official prior to submission to the funding agency.
Responsible for:
- Reviewing proposals prior to submission to funding agencies
- Establishing and maintaining accounts for funded projects
- Issuing outgoing subawards via the SUBSystem on SPA funds
- Reviewing and processing documents and letters for submission to funding agencies
Office of Technology Management
Mission: Pair cutting-edge WU research with expertise and exceptional service in order to create a pipeline of opportunities that can benefit society.
OTM acts as a resource for faculty in the areas of copyrights; patent prosecution; material transfer agreements; consulting agreements; marketing; licensing
Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research
Explore University-wide research policies, procedures, operations, support infrastructure, and educational programs, including grant submissions, contract negotiation, export controls, the responsible conduct of research, etc.
Research Infrastructure Services
RIS provides research technology services including data storage, a scientific compute platform, research applications, and controlled unclassified information (CUI).
Sponsored Projects Accounting (SPA)
Financial intermediary between sponsors of research and Washington University in St. Louis investigators.
SPA is the primary source for interpretation of relevant rules, regulations and laws governing incurring, reimbursing and reporting costs under sponsored-research agreements.
Tax Department
Responsible for a variety of areas of the University’s tax compliance.
