Ismael Hernandez-Nunez, PhD

Ismael Hernandez-Nunez, PhD

Postdoctoral Research Fellow

Ismael obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Extremadura in Badajoz, Spain, followed by a Master’s degree and a PhD in Neuroscience and Clinical Psychology from the University of Santiago de Compostela. Ismael joined the Clark lab as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in September, 2022 and is studying how the regulation of DNA methylation impacts retinal development and cell fate specification.

Jade Enright

Jade Enright

Graduate Student – MCB Program

Jade obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology from McDaniel College in 2020 and is now pursuing her PhD in the Molecular Cell Biology program, studying the mechanisms of lncRNA function during retinal development.

Evelyn Craigen

Evelyn Craigen

Graduate Student – MGG Program

Evelyn obtained her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 2016 and worked as a technician at Baylor College of Medicine (Zoghbi lab) before joining the Molecular Genetics & Genomics program at Washington University as a graduate student. Evelyn’s research focuses on understanding how cis-regulatory sequence activity controls temporal gene expression within retinal progenitor cells.

Christy Hoffman

Christy Hoffman

Graduate Student – HSG Program

Christy obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Missouri – St. Louis in 2016. After working as a technician in the Hughes Lab at Washington University in St. Louis, Christy joined the Human and Statistical Genetics program to pursue her PhD at WUSTL. In the Clark Lab, she works to identify and understand how transcription factors regulate retinal development and cell fate specification.
