This artwork brings together ideas that one may have considered as problems of the deaf community, however unlike how we may usually think of it this piece pushes the viewer to look at it from a cumulative perspective. It forces us to try and understand how these various traumas affect the deaf community and the stigma around the dismissal of sound in communication and other formats. The piece uses musical notes as well to further explore the relationship between sound and the way it can be used to separate and create a sense of inferiority and superiority. Not only limited to deafness, similar to racism based upon skin color differences in sound can have similar problems.
