Empowering Communities through Educational Excellence and Innovation
CERP3 fosters a collaborative research environment that engages local communities and integrates insights across multiple disciplines. We leverage data and collective expertise to develop actionable solutions that improve student outcomes and advance societal well-being.
What We Do

Strengthen Practitioner Partnerships
Researchers often engage with teachers, schools, and district leaders independently, resulting in request overload. When practitioners have an idea, they do not know who to contact at WashU. To address this challenge, we will create infrastructure to help practitioners easily navigate the university and facilitate effective engagement between WashU researchers and the school community.

Translate Research for Policymakers
Major educational discoveries often remain in academic journals, inaccessible to local policymakers. CERP³ will bridge this gap and drive action by disseminating research through policy briefs, presentations, videos, and other formats preferred by policymakers. In doing so, we ensure that critical knowledge reaches those who can enact change in our education system.

Provide Data Infrastructure
We are committed to creating accessible data infrastructure, enabling comprehensive analysis and evidence-based solutions. By merging educational data with health, housing, and financial security data, we will provide a holistic view to drive impactful research. Additionally, we will support schools and districts in meeting their data needs, empowering them to make informed decisions about program implementation.

Reduce Research Fragmentation
Traditional research environments often hinder collaboration and limit awareness of developments in other disciplines. By leveraging expertise from diverse fields such as social work, public health, economics, sociology, and more, CERP³ is committed to breaking down silos and fostering interdisciplinary research that addresses the multifaceted nature of educational disparities.
