Our mission
We bridge research, policy, and practice to improve evidence-based response to serious human rights abuses.
How we work
We focus on applied research and policy impact in the areas of human rights, gender and migration, providing a platform for WashU faculty and students to expand research and technical collaborations across and beyond WashU.
We host a “collaboration lab” for faculty and students to identify urgent knowledge gaps, develop transdisciplinary research and technical assistance projects, and offer relevant research collaborations grant writing and dissemination support to make projects more accessible.
We engage external researchers, policymakers, and practitioners in problem-identification and problem-solving processes, strengthening WashU’s exchanges with diverse experts in the process.
To enhance WashU scholarship on the intersecting issues of human rights, gender, migration and international justice, we host cross-campus events, trainings, workshops and global exchanges.
We care about the human rights of immigrants in St. Louis and facilitate direct WashU engagement with St. Louis area immigrant and refugee service providers.
