Rick Reneau

Graduate Student

Rick is a first year DBBS Neuroscience PhD student rotating with Todd Braver. Originally from St. Augustine, Florida, Rick received his bachelor’s from the University of Miami where he majored in computer science and psychology. There his research focused on using fMRI, geolocation tracking, and ecological momentary assessment to investigate how real-world exploration and novelty seeking impacts affective dynamics and the brain. Rick’s current work studies the neural and psychological mechanisms behind mindfulness meditation and rapid antidepressants such as psilocybin and ketamine.
