Nourhan Elsayed

Noura is a 1st year graduate student with Dr. Barch. She received her B.A. in Psychology with a Minor in Cultural Anthropology. For her senior thesis Noura studied predictors of distress and well-being in refugee youth in Beirut, Lebanon. After graduating, Noura spent two years working at the Translational Center for Stress Related Disorders under Dr. Douglas Williamson investigating functional correlates of early alcohol use initiation. Noura is interested in using fMRI to understand how early life adversity contributes to the development of affective psychopathology.
