Leadership Team

Dr. Jay Turner is the James McKelvey Professor of Engineering Education; Vice Dean for Education and Head of the Division of Engineering Education; and a Professor or Energy, Environmental and Chemical Engineering at Washington University in St. Louis. He also holds a Visiting Scholar appointment with the John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Science, Harvard University. A chemical engineer by training, Jay’s work focuses on environmental science and engineering with emphasis on air quality planning and management and air pollutant exposures. He has taken sabbaticals at the University of California-Davis and Sonoma Technology, Inc. (2005-2006), and at the Harvard School of Public Health (2016). Jay is past president of the American Association for Aerosol Research (AAAR) and in 2021 he completed six years of service on the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) chartered Science Advisory board (SAB).
